Less than a month after a semi-truck accident killed five nursing students from Georgia Southern University, another big rig collision was responsible for five more deaths. Both multi-fatality accidents occurred on Interstate 16 near Savannah. According to a report on from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution website, witnesses described the tractor trailer as “drifting in and out of lanes” before smashing into cars in front of it. Authorities suspect the truck’s driver may have fallen asleep.Read more…
Your Rights Concerning Medical Malpractice
As you might know, Georgia Senate Bill 86 failed to pass this spring. This is a good thing for residents of the Peach State. Senate Bill 86, or the Patient Compensation Act, would’ve created a new administrative system, the first of its kind in the country, which would handle all malpractice claims instead of the courts.Read more…

Father’s Day is drawing near, which means sons and daughters everywhere are scrambling to plan the perfect day for their fathers. Your dad, much like most other dads, isn’t giving you any hints as to what he wants to do. He says he’s fine with anything. But you don’t want to just give him “anything;” you want to show him how much you appreciate him for the sacrifices he has made out of love for you.Read more…

A 15-passenger van carrying 12 people drove off a Georgia interstate resulting in the death of three people. Officials say the van careened off the interstate and crashed into an embankment. Of the 12 people inside the van, three were killed and at least six were injured. This fatal crash occurred just a week after another similar van crash resulted in the death of eight members of a Florida church. These types of accidents are relatively common for passenger vans. The accident that took place on April 6 did not involve a blown tire, but many passenger van accidents are the direct result of tire issues and a loss of control. These vehicles are simply not designed to maneuver in the event of an emergency.Read more…
