Meet the 2020 Best Foot Forward Winner!

By Grant Law Office on May 26, 2020

It was less than two weeks ago that we announced the finalists to our 2020 Best Foot Forward Scholarship. Time really does fly! The incredible youthful men and women we selected were all in consideration to win a $1,000 scholarship to help them with their future endeavors. Choosing just one of our finalists to win the scholarship was a difficult process that involved several re-reads of essays and intense debates. But we at Grant Law Office are finally ready to announce our winner.

Congratulations to Kalvin N. from Jefferson, GA! You have won the 2020 Best Foot Forward Scholarship!

Kalvin’s essay was equal parts fascinating, inspiring, and funny. We were all impressed by your maturity as you discussed the realities of passion. While we all have things we are passionate about, that passion can ebb and flow. It is important to find what made you fall in love with your passion in the first place, otherwise you may burn yourself out.

Feel free to read Kalvin’s essay so that you can see how he inspired us all. We cannot wait to see what you do in the future, Kalvin. We are sure that passion and maturity you have shown us will continue to guide you to great things.

Thank you to every student who sent in an application. While you may not have won, it is important to remember that this scholarship wouldn’t be able to exist if so many bright minds did not show an interest in it. You have all proven yourselves to be dedicated and hardworking. We hope you will continue to use that dedication to your advantage as you continue through school and life.

If you are going to be a student again next year, we encourage to consider applying again. One rejection doesn’t mean you won’t succeed next time you try. For further news about our firm and scholarships, follow our blog and our Facebook page. Thank you all again! We hope you are staying safe and healthy.
