Watch Out for Recalled Winter Products

By Grant Law Office on December 11, 2014

Last summer, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled over ten “winter products.” These items had defects that could be seriously harmful to a consumer. Because of the timing of this recall, these items may still be in use in households today. These products range from personal space heaters, to snow thrower and many other items.

Aside from not functioning adequately, these defective products can cause serious personal injury and/or property damage. For example, a household boiler that was recalled had a cap that had been shown to crack, releasing harmful gas into the home and creating a serious risk of fire and/or explosion. When a product is recalled, it’s usually because it can become dangerous when used, and these winter products are no exception.

If you feel that you or a loved one has been affected by a faulty product (whether recalled or not), you may want to examine your legal options. The Atlanta product liability lawyers at Grant Law Office have the experience to determine whether you have a valid product liability claim and to aggressively represent you if so.
